Hybrid teaching formats combine in-person sessions with digital self-study phases. This combination measurably raises how satisfied students are with the course. (Medium sentence signal) Whether it also improves learning outcomes depends heavily on supervision. What matters is how regularly instructors give feedback on the self-study phases. Everything about the AI detector

What is Certentis?

Certentis is a workspace for the authenticity of digital text. The AI detector estimates whether a text was more likely written by a person or by AI. The plagiarism checker finds overlaps with sources and links to them. The Humanizer rewrites existing text in the same language. All three tools work on their own and share one credit balance.

What a check result tells you, and what it does not

The AI detector and the plagiarism checker give you pointers for a decision you make yourself.

AI detector

How reliable are AI detectors?

The Certentis AI analysis gives probabilities for the whole text and signals for individual sentences, not a verdict. Text a person wrote can show AI signals too, such as formulaic technical writing or text written in a second language. A high value is a reason to ask questions, not proof of who wrote the text.

Plagiarism checker

Is every match plagiarism?

A match is a signal to review, not proof of plagiarism. Compare the passage with the original source to decide whether it is correctly quoted, properly paraphrased, common knowledge, or problematic.

The AI Humanizer shows you every word it changed

The Humanizer rewrites an existing text in the same language, for example a stiff AI draft. It takes particular care to keep the meaning, technical terms, and quotations intact.

  • quote, kept verbatim
Sample text

Original

It can be observed that urban heat islands in the past decades have significantly grown in importance. As Brandt (2019) shows, “sealed surfaces store heat during the day and release it again at night.” Consequently, it is essential that greening measures in urban planning be given greater consideration going forward.

Result

Urban heat islands have grown sharply in importance over the last decades. As Brandt (2019) shows, “sealed surfaces store heat during the day and release it again at night.” Quote protected Urban planning therefore needs to take greening measures more seriously.

What stays the same

In this example, the meaning, technical terms like “heat islands,” and the verbatim quote stay intact. The result stays in the language of your original.

What the report shows

Original and result side by side, plus the real scanner scores, even when a target was not reached. Certentis does not promise specific scores.

On , Certentis ran its own benchmark with 10 texts and compared itself with 6 other humanizers. Certentis reached an overall score of 85.4 out of 100 and a semantic fidelity of 91.7 out of 100. In 8 of 10 texts, every complete citation stayed character for character intact; the other providers managed 0 to 6. 10 of 10 results were in the correct language. Because Certentis ran and scored the test itself, we publish the results and the method.

Who Certentis is built for

For term papers, bachelor's and master's theses

You wrote the paper yourself and want to check it once more before you submit: are all your sources properly cited, and where does the AI analysis flag something? Certentis reviews and revises your own text. It does not write a paper for you.

Check first which AI tools your institution allows and whether you have to disclose using them.

Plagiarism check for term papers and theses

The plagiarism checker shows where your text overlaps with sources, so you can decide whether a citation belongs there.

AI detection for your coursework

The AI detector flags sentences with signals so you can take a second look. That is not a verdict on your work.

Revise your own phrasing

The Humanizer rewrites stiff passages in plainer language. It gives quotations and technical terms extra protection, and you compare the result with your original.

Frequently asked questions about Certentis

What is Certentis?

Certentis is a workspace for the authenticity of digital text, with three separate tools. The AI detector estimates whether a text was more likely written by a person or by AI. The plagiarism checker finds overlaps with sources. The Humanizer rewrites existing text in the same language. All three draw on one shared credit balance.

Do I have to use all three tools together?

No. The AI detector, plagiarism checker and Humanizer are separate tools in Certentis. You run only the check you need, or work through the same text with several tools, one after another.

Does the AI detector prove who wrote a text?

No. The Certentis AI detector estimates probabilities from patterns in the language. The result is a signal for a closer look, not proof of authorship or of cheating. Always weigh it in context, for example alongside drafts, notes and the history of how the text was written. Certentis does not claim an independent, proprietary accuracy benchmark for its AI detector.

What do Human, Mixed and AI mean?

In the AI detector, Human, Mixed and AI are probabilities for which class the whole document belongs to. They do not say what percentage of the text came from AI. The Certentis AI analysis also marks sentence signals, so you can see which passages shape the assessment.

How does the plagiarism checker work?

In the Certentis plagiarism checker, you paste your text or upload a supported document. The report marks the overlaps it finds, links each one to its source and shows the affected passages with a similarity score. Similarity is not automatically plagiarism: you decide whether a passage is correctly cited. Complete coverage of the web is not promised.

What does the Humanizer do?

The Certentis Humanizer rewrites an existing text in the same language and takes care to keep meaning, technical terms and quotations intact. In Certentis' own benchmark from July 28, 2026 (10 texts, self-run), every complete citation stayed character for character intact in 8 of 10 texts. You compare the original and the result word by word, and the report shows the actual Certentis AI analysis scores, even when a target was not reached. Certentis does not promise any particular score.

Which languages does Certentis support?

The Certentis interface comes in 28 languages. Certentis detects the language of a text automatically and runs the analysis or rewrite in that language. The Humanizer rewrites in the same language and does not translate. How well a language is covered can differ by tool and document format.

Where can I find earlier checks and reports?

Signed-in Certentis users find their AI detector analyses, plagiarism reports and Humanizer rewrites in their personal history. Original, result and the available details stay linked there, so you can open a report again later.

Can I use Certentis for my term paper?

Whether you may use Certentis for a term paper depends on the rules of your university and your department. Check beforehand which AI tools are allowed and whether you have to disclose using them. Certentis does not write papers for you. It helps you check your own text for sources and AI signals, and revise it.
