General Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions apply to contracts for Certentis, a digital service provided by Andrej Gluchow (CERTENTIS), Brahmsstr. 6, 57577 Hamm, Deutschland. They apply to consumers and, where expressly agreed, to businesses.

Individual agreements and the information provided in the respective checkout take precedence over these terms. The customer's deviating terms apply only if Andrej Gluchow (CERTENTIS) has expressly agreed to them.

Certentis offers a Humanizer for controlled text revision, an AI scanner for the statistical classification of linguistic patterns, and a plagiarism check for identifying matches and sources. The specific scope of services is set out on the relevant product page and at checkout.

Outputs and reports are generated automatically. Despite technical checks, linguistic, subject-matter, citation-related, or classification errors may occur. Content and sources must be independently reviewed before use.

• No guarantee of a particular classification by an AI detector.
• No guarantee of grades, passing, plagiarism-free content, or admissibility under institutional rules.
• No professional, legal, or academic advice.

A personal account is required for paid features. Registration is permitted for persons aged 18 or older. Login credentials must be kept confidential and may not be shared with third parties.

You must provide accurate and up-to-date information. If you suspect unauthorized use, notify us immediately and change your password.

You may only enter or upload content that you are legally permitted to process and transmit to the service providers used.

• No unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.
• No third-party confidential data, trade secrets, or personal data without a legal basis.
• No circumvention of security, credit, capacity, or access restrictions.
• No automated bulk retrieval outside expressly provided interfaces.
• Academic, professional, and institutional rules governing the use and disclosure of AI assistance must be observed.

Certentis uses credits as a shared balance for its tools. Currently, the Humanizer costs one credit per input word, the AI analysis costs one credit per two input words, and the plagiarism check costs one credit per word checked. Partial units are rounded up to the next full credit. For the Humanizer, internal repetitions and the output text are not charged additionally.

The required credits are reserved before processing begins. If processing fails and no usable result is provided, the reservation is released or refunded in accordance with the prescribed technical process.

Credits purchased as one-time purchases do not expire. Subscription credits are provided in monthly allowances, regardless of whether billing is monthly or annual. A monthly allowance expires upon the next monthly allocation or, at the latest, at the end of the paid billing period; unused subscription credits are not carried over.

A purchased plagiarism check applies to up to 10,000 words and does not expire. Purchased checks are used first. If no purchased check is available, one credit is deducted from the shared balance for each word actually checked.

A report identifies statistical matches and sources found. It is not legally binding evidence and can guarantee neither completeness nor the absence of plagiarism.

Plans designated as monthly subscriptions renew for one month at a time, while plans designated as annual subscriptions renew for one year at a time, until canceled. The price, scope of services, and next billing date are displayed at checkout before completion.

An annual subscription is paid for the entire year in advance. Once payment has been confirmed, the first monthly allowance is unlocked immediately; its amount corresponds to the monthly allowance of the selected plan. As long as the subscription is active, a new allowance follows each month. Unused subscription credits expire upon the next allocation.

Subscriptions purchased on the website can be canceled in the Stripe customer portal; mobile subscriptions can be canceled in the subscription management of the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the already paid billing period. Upgrades within the same billing interval may take effect immediately and unlock only the prorated plan difference; downgrades generally take effect in the next billing period. Annual subscriptions are currently offered exclusively on the website.

In the event of failed payments, full refunds, or payment disputes, the allocation of new subscription credits may be suspended. Any unused current subscription credits may be forfeited. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

The final prices displayed at the respective checkout apply, including any applicable VAT. Website payments are processed through Stripe; purchases in the mobile app are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Store purchases are also subject to the respective store’s payment, refund, and subscription terms. Certentis does not receive complete card or account details.

Credits or checks are credited only after successful payment has been confirmed by the server. Merely being redirected to the success page does not trigger a credit.

Continuous availability without interruption cannot be guaranteed at all times, particularly due to maintenance, security measures, or disruptions affecting external AI, scanner, database, or payment services.

Material changes to ongoing paid services will be communicated in good time and transparently. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

You retain your rights to content you enter and upload. You grant Andrej Gluchow (CERTENTIS) the non-exclusive rights required to transmit, automatically process, review, temporarily store, and provide the requested results.

Customer texts are not used to train our own or third-party generative models. Third-party rights to sources, quotations, trademarks, or other components remain unaffected.

The statutory rights in the event of defects apply. Andrej Gluchow (CERTENTIS) is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under mandatory statutory provisions.

In the event of a slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage at the time the contract was concluded. Material contractual obligations are those whose fulfillment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose compliance the customer may regularly rely. In all other respects, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

You remain responsible for reviewing outputs, sources, and institutional requirements before use.

If there are concrete indications of misuse, a security risk, or a material breach of contract, access may be temporarily restricted. Before a permanent suspension, the nature and severity of the breach, legitimate interests, and possible objections will be appropriately taken into account.

You can request deletion of your account in the account area. Stripe subscriptions are terminated as part of the deletion process. A subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play is not canceled by this and does not prevent account deletion; you must separately stop future renewals in the respective store. Statutory retention obligations may prevent the immediate deletion of individual billing data.

Consumers have the statutory right of withdrawal. Details are set out in the separate withdrawal notice provided before the contract is concluded.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the state in which they have their habitual residence.

If the customer is a registered merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Andrej Gluchow (CERTENTIS)'s registered office. Statutory places of jurisdiction apply to consumers.

Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
